Job Description

We are a looking for a locally based Human Resources Administrator to join our client's team in Ballito, KZN. This role will report directly to the Human Resources Business Partner and focus on payroll management and working with Sage. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, time attendance, employee relations and recruitment of blue-collar workers within a Manufacturing environment.  

 

Educational Background:

  • National Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • Exposure or experience with Sage payroll software.
  • Certification in HR or Payroll Management is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of labour laws and regulations.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, employees and suppliers.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Payroll:

  • Responsible for the management of the payroll process using Sage, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including overtime and leave request registration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations concerning payroll and tax reporting.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related queries and issues from employees.

 

Time & Attendance

  • Register new employees and retire terminated employees in fingerprint system
  • Generate daily attendance report from fingerprint/access control system for production employees, on a weekly basis for the other departments managers.
  • Monitor and follow-up on daily employees' attendance and communicate the findings to the department managers

 

Personnel Budget & Reporting:

  • Register all monthly personnel key figures in our internal ERP system eMis
  • Built up personnel controlling and check monthly if we are in line with our personnel Budget
  • Support in the preparation of the Personnel Budget

 

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contract, job description, salary details, and leave records.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR-related communications and documentation.
  • Support in distributing and updating personnel policies if necessary.
  • Support HRBP in resignation / withdrawal process and make sure that all necessary company properties are handed over
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, coordinating interviews and conduct pre-employment checks etc.
  • Prepare welcome packages for all new employees
